Very fascinating and interesting movie! This movie should win an Oscar for sound editing and score. The odd screeches and really immersed the audience into the emotions of the movie. The out of focus shots also creates an uneasy feeling and keeps the audience's interest focus on the specific character. The movie isn't action-packed but constantly leads the audience on a journey of intrigue. This is a thought-provoking movie about humanity and communication. I didn't give it 5 stars because antagonist military and CIA characters weren't very believable but they were good enough to keep the drama.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter could not have arrived at a better time to give the message it gives. It is a beautifully shot movie that provides a fresh new take on a stagnant genre of alien movies. The cinematography is breathtaking yet minimalistic. The camera work is slow and lets us the audience absorbs as much as we can in every frame. Director Denis Villeneuve after giving us Iscariot last year gives us yet another back burner thriller that keeps us hooked and mesmerized throughout. Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker are good in their roles and deliver what is expected from them but this movie belongs to Amy Adams. She is outstanding here and delivers one of her finest performances. The best thing about this movie is that it is not the over the top alien drama that almost all movies in this genre are. It takes a more human approach to the subject and delivers a beautiful movie that is worth your time and money.
