"Resident Evil" fluctuates China; Cross $100 M on Monday after the debut album

One of the latest trends in movies is to extend the life of popular action franchises. Perennial favorites such as 'Die Hard,' 'Indiana Jones', and several others have introduced the next hit the Cineplex of albeit with mixed results both critically and financially. The fact that new installments of these franchises continue to invade the local cineplex hopefully offering AARP discounts. It is demonstrative of an issue that has been plaguing the film industry since it's very beginning, it's a gender-based discrepancy. Apparently, men can still be action heroes long after their six-pack abs have turned into a keg. Men in their 50s and even 60s can still obtain lucrative deals as the hero in an action-based movie. 

On the other hand, this does not seem to apply equally to women. First, there are far fewer roles for leading actresses and then their counterparts. An actress who is hot and sexy in the 20s and even 30s can undertake roles such as top-secret Soviet assassin; a feeling femme fatale went very well endowed archaeologists with relative ease. According to the unwritten but strictly adhered to rules infused deep within the architecture of the entertainment business as these women add a few years of age, they become relegated to portraying handsomely appointed and sedentary characters. In the last few years, this trend has been reversed, at least to some degree. Two long-running female-oriented action franchises have recently been resurrected ostensibly installments that will tie up loose ends and finally conclude the story. Within a short period, both of his movies have made it to home media including both 3-D Blu-ray and the new 4K UHD. Previously I considered the first of these movies released in this fashion, 'Underworld: Blood Wars. And there on' now we can turn our attention to a woman named Alice trying to best to save Racoon City and the rest of the world a zombie virus created by the epitome of evil and corporate greed, The Umbrella Corporation, 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.' Both actresses involved in their respective projects, Kate Beckinsale and the film considered here, Milla Jovovich has remained exceptionally effective and still able to provide a believable portrayal of the character. I do have to acknowledge that I am very certain that stunt doubles at a greater involvement here than in previous offerings.

It has been fourteen years since this popular video game transformed into a movie and I can just be seen going out for years since the last chapter hit the theaters. The story begins with some retrospective overview the main issue that has driven the action for the first five movies. Dr. James Marcus (Mark Simpson), the founder of the Umbrella Corporation had a daughter, Alice (Ever Anderson), a beloved only child was dying of a disease that manifested as rapid, uncontrollable aging. To prevent imminent death, Dr. Marcus invents the T-Virus. Unfortunately, it mutates into what is fundamentally a zombie virus reanimating the dead into mindless, bloodthirsty killers. Dr. Marcus immediately tries to shut down the program but another high-ranking executive in the company, Dr. Alexander Isaacs (Iain Glen), objected wanting instead to create the perfect bioweapon. Dr. Marcus refuses Isaacs has his corporate henchmen, Albert Wesker (Albert Wesker) to murder the last man in the company with any sense of morality. As of the Umbrella Corporation located in a vast underground structure referred to as 'The Hive.' Extending many levels down into the depths of the earth is controlled by an advanced artificial intelligence construct known as the 'Red Queen,' holographic image based on his late daughter Alice. The protagonist of the movie is a woman of exceptional martial arts abilities and tactical acumen, Alice (Milla Jovovich). Previously one of the big reveals was at this Alice was an adult clone of the dead child. This brings us to one of the most evident negative points of this film, demonstrative of how the franchise had begun to spiral down past mediocrity to a convoluted morass of storylines and plot contrivances. Once you have such highly advanced cloning procedures as part of the canon of the franchise, there is no longer any possible way to generate tension by placing the main character in deadly peril. If they die, they will conveniently place clone will be brought out of the bullpen for his turn at bat.

The first we see Alice it is a short time after the events of the previous chapter. After yet another betrayal by Wexler, Alice awakens in the White House, now little more than a pile of ruins. The Red Queen, her perennial nemesis, appears in holographic form with the unexpected message that the AI construct is looking to make peace with Alice and help her prevent a biological apocalypse. Unless Alice gets back to Racoon City and penetrates the formidable defenses of the Hive, the Umbrella Corporation will release a newly formulated, fully weaponized airborne version of the dreaded T-Virus. The Red Queen promises to reveal to Alice why the AI controller of the Hive is willing to betray her creators. Alice immediately embarks on her final quest. During her journey, Alice, reunited with a substantial procession of returning cast members regardless of the previously perceived status of viability. The mayhem is virtually non-stop as every possible requirement conveniently obtained and her immediate objectives met. In need of a ride, Alice detained by some heavily armed corporate security with motorcycles. Starting them requires an authorized handprint which presents little impediment once Alice relieves the former driver of his hand.

At this point, the imagery heavily emulates any Mad Max movie with Alice captured by a huge mechanized fortress containing a staff of mercenaries and skilled hackers. It is commanded by Isaacs, previously killed by Alice but was one of his clones. He tethers Alice behind the vehicle slowly moving forward just barely sufficient to stay ahead of a massive horde of zombies. Alice manages not just to escape but severely humiliates Issacs in the process. When she manages to arrive at Racoon City, the Hive finally in sight but the time remaining dwindled down to hours, Alice encounters a ragtag group of survivors led by a former ally, Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), believed killed during a previous dénouement involving the requisite climactic battle. They are joined by some former stalwarts eager to help Alice in her fight. Once in the hive, they locate a cache of cryogenic capsules including one containing the elderly Alicia Marcus, Ms. Jovovich in a significant amount of prostatic special effects makeup. The ending here involves the interaction of the young Alive, the hologram, the Alice that is and the Alice that should have been. Don't try too hard to make complete sense of the ending, or for that matter, the whole movie, a warning concerning migraine headaches should be displayed prominently on the opening credits. While the home release is available in standard Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD, no Region A 3D version has been released. A 2D/3D set that was released in Hong Kong with Chinese subtitles is readily obtainable that should play on any standard 3D system. Fortunately, this is region free. A streaming video version is available for rental or purchase from Vudu. Most loose ends are neatly gathered by just in case; the story was left with the potential for subsequent 'Final Chapters.'

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter 2016 YIFY torrent has been released. Entertaining, It's really a very good film. Some scenes are tense with effective jump scares and the action scenes are loud, frenetic and explosive, but the plot and dialogue are poor and the ending is just terrible. There are lots of odd design choices throughout - the monster CGI and setting is good at the start, but noticeably lacking in the latter half. Both the old and new characters are instantly forgettable, and any sliver of relevance to the game franchise is long gone.

Even if you are a fan of this marathon zombie killer movies you may not care for this one. My son and I were the only ones there and normally being alone in a dark theater with zombies on the loose would be cause for alarm; I'd say boredom was as close as we got. Milla Jovovich was pretty good as always as the super strong woman zombie killer but the action was often shot on handheld cameras and that made them very jerky and difficult to follow. No spoilers but despite the repeated claims that this is the VERY last of the series, don't be surprised to see yet another one sometime. I'll probably go, but I'm not really excited about it. Recommended for a couple of hours of mindless action but not much else.

Been a long time coming that's for sure, still remember waiting eagerly for the original and going in with a look on my face that was described as Christmas coming early. While I still think the first film got more things right than my fellow fans of the games gave it credit for, and boy did its sequels get a lot of things wrong (bringing characters from the games to life especially (well not counting Jill Valentine and before Retribution anyway)). But after 15 years and being a favorite guilty pleasure franchise it feels weird knowing that this is the last one and while it's going to be a surreal experience I still say bring it on.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter 2016 Trailer Reaction: Genuinely hated every moment of this movie, and that's from someone who enjoyed the previous movies. She actually saves her worst for last, contrary to their marketing. There are no redeeming qualities. The first 10 minutes are filled with jump scare after jump scare, completely losing the entire point of having such a thing. It angered me that they thought that was a good idea & set the tone for the rest of the film, it never recovered. The editing was even worse. I haven't seen a movie with editing worse than this, I don't think I ever will. An epilepsy inducing mess of flashing lights, shaky cameras and disorientation. The main spoiler for the movie was just so badly done it could be seen from a mile off. Prosthetics for that part were extremely poor & I actually laughed out loud at how ridiculous the whole idea was.

I enjoyed the plot as it tied together all the movies nicely. However Alyssa's dad...the scientist who created the T virus. Wasn't he in the second movie, the one in the wheelchair who was shot by Dr Issac and then turned into a zombie and was crawling towards Issac... and i thought his daughter had a disease that would put her in a wheelchair not age fast. I felt it lacked continuity.

lastly - there were i am sure really awesome action scenes but i totally missed them due to shaky camera syndrome. What was the director thinking? and also I am usually waiting for the token slow motion scene but I don't recall one cos it was a very fast slow motion.... In conclusion this could have been much much better.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Full Movie of Action Series, but really disappointing ending to what I recall as a great series. I may have to go back and watch some of the previous movies because I don't recall them being so stereo-typically B grade action. The acting sucked, plot was Swiss cheese, stupid errors throughout and rough CGI. I would have walked out if I wasn't with others. The full scale of action every scene made the film bearably entertaining and the urge to finish the series kept me going. Yet as a fan, I was hoping for a lot more to end what has been a decent series.

I was really looking forward to this movie being a fan of the game and the movies are always entertaining. There's no academy awards here but you get exactly what you pay the money for. Another battle of the good guys vs the T virus and the Hive. Milla Jovovich looks great as always and kicks some zombie A$$. There's lot's of great action, an assortment of crazy zombie monsters, great death sequences and some great jump in out of your seat moments. If you liked the other resident evil movies you'll surely enjoy this one. Follows in the foot steps of it's predecessors with an equation that seems to work for it's fan. Worth checking out for sure if you like this kind of movie. 3,5 fingers in the air!

 So to director Paul Anderson....I saw your stupid movie today. Let me explain something to you, I played the resident evil video games as a kid, I had the action figures, I read the comic books, and after finishing high school, the first movie came out a year later. This final installment was not your best effort. The first fifteen minutes made no sense. It was way too loud, obviously to mask the fact that you had no story! All that happened, was, quiet, then a monster pops out, Mila kills him, done...for fifteen fiuckin minutes straight while I am trying to figure out exactly what the fuck is going on or where this is taking place and why other than the rediculously short intro! I actually walked out on a resident evil film! Are you happy? My only consolation is that it was discount day at Philly Mills AMC! So I only lost $3.83 Still, you sir should be ashamed of yourself! WORST RESIDENT EVIL FILM EVER! I hope you are happy! Who the fuck uses loud nosies to make a movie with a bad script seem intelligent? If I wanted that, I would attend an EMINEM CONCERT! ...and I hate rap! Nuff said!

'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' Cast on Reclaiming the Horror

Even though Resident Evil series has finally come to an end with Resident Evil: Final Chapter. The final appearance of miles Jovovich as Alice promised a lot of direct action worthy end. After five periods with almost the same quid - expect anything else in the last chapter, but manufacturers of wings do not provide the expected exciting experience. Departure last stops from Alice was diagnosed Bros- T when it comes to a therapy that people can learn the latest 4000 gives the surface of the earth. Everything goes back to where it all began 10 years ago, and the cell. 

On the road to recovery, and met some old friends, and the man responsible for the world's end, Dr. Alexander Isaacs. Manufacturers have made sure that they have a sense of nostalgia for the fans who have followed the lead series since 2002. Taking action scenes from the previous films, and because of different situations reminiscent of other post-apocalyptic movies, particularly Mad Max road rage. Hollywood has been a model for all of those movies that you really need to break now. 

Another disadvantage with the film is to have the right blend. Action scenes are so loud and sound like a printer, fax brake pterodactyl. Some individual scenes of the fighting can not be denied and beautiful Jovovich once again impressed with their tricks. But in general, overlaps and contradictions sometimes non-stop action to the public the wrong reasons. Interestingly, the third installment of Resident Evil: Extinction nominated, which was issued in 2007 for the last film of the saga. It would have been better if it was the end to deal with things fresh and always good to end on a high note, where enthusiasts can also create their own theories still. 

But that does not make up for the collection of popular and manufacturers have sought and now I hope that this really is the end of a dull, juice and soft film of the series. Leaving the film's producers at some stage, which hope for further expansion (oh no!) It is time for everyone involved in the election really, really definitely call it a day and left Alice. The final chapter in the series of dry powerless, ironically, loosen the grip of all.

Should the Resident Evil Sequel The Final Chapter Hit Box Office Still This Year 2017?

The Resident Evil series is very popular all over the world now. I think it is a representative zombie movie of the 21st century. This movie is based on the world famous video game series "Biohazard", which was originally made by the Japanese company Capcom. The original movie is about 90 minutes, and it was created more than ten years ago. This story is about the beginning of the world's end due to the killer virus called "T-virus". It is a story of escaping from the Hive, which is an underground science lab and fighting against the zombies. The Hive is set to lock it's entrance forever after 60 minutes have passed, so the characters are racing against time. I think this is a high quality and well-done movie. 

It expresses the fear, doom, and reality of the end of the world. The CG is high quality, and also the zombie's make up is perfect too. And the actions of the characters are awesome. The main character Allis (Milla Jovovich) practiced acrobatic actions very hard. So the bruises on her body are all real. Every scene is serious, so the nervousness continues until the end. Also, there are a lot of astonishing scenes, and you will never be bored. both The movie's and the game's popularity were positively affected by each other. The boss enemy character in this movie "Likker" comes from the video game. So we know how strong and scary the "Likker" is, and we can experience the doomed feeling that the main characters have. For these reasons, I can say that this is the most representative zombie movie of the 21st century. You must check it out!

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Trailer Reaction

It's Paul W.S. Anderson ladies and gentlemen, it was bound to happen sooner or later and actually, this is one of his better films, in my opinion, now that's not saying much for this poorly written attempt at fan service but Anderson does enough to make it a watchable, guilty pleasure. Based off the outstanding computer game franchise, Resident Evil, which in the game see a group of soldiers searching for their buddies in the forests of raccoon city and find themselves stranded in this creepy mansion, with the living dead running around and an underground laboratory which has been used to test and create a deadly virus that kills off living creatures and mutates them into the walking dead or worse... The sound premise, lots to work with, lots of characters which with a good ensemble cast and the right direction could have proved a modern day living dead franchise.

It isn't. instead, we follow Alice, Milla, as she wakes up in a mansion, who cant remember who she is and before you know it a seals team burst through the door, which includes Rodriguez, oh wait some guy shows up out of nowhere right before they arrive.... And they go into the hive, an underground facility that has been contaminated with the T-virus and everyone's dead, well sort off! It's not painful to watch, the dialogue is hilariously ropey but Milla does a good job of keeping us invested with her performance. The rest of the cast are completely expendable, 1-dimensional wastes of time, used either to fill in gaping holes in plot points or to be used to ramp up the action factor. The action is yet again, ok, some hits and misses, There is an entertaining scene with some zombie dogs and some general zombie munching that can appease timid fans but this film lacks a real sense of bite. 

The gore is limited, the scares are nonexistant and the camera likes to cut far too quickly to get a sense of the full picture, I presume that was down to the studio wanting to make more money off this outing. Cinematography wise the beginning is excellent, using excellent looking sets and a gorgeous looking mansion, to create a really gorgeous and what would have you think is going to be a creepy film... Then people start talking, Marilyn Manson's music starts playing and any sense of dread is thrown out the window. Oh, i nearly forgot the CGI, Jesus, is atrocious, why? it shouldn't be? zombies have been done superbly for decades with makeup, but here Anderson goes for a mix of makeup and CGI nonsense, leaving you completely disconnected, the big baddie as well, holy shit it looks terrible. Its hilarious watching the making of and seeing Anderson talk about how the Zombies are being trained up and that the "Licker" will be an actual model/synthetic robot... its not, well maybe for a second it is, but the rest of the time it's just a horrid pink blur that kinda just flaps about and eats people from time to time. Over all its a omnishambles of a film but a strong leading performance, some lovely visual work and the odd bit of action here and there leave you with something to turn your brain off and watch.

I liked it a lot, but a substantial amount of my interest in the films has to be credited to my love for the games. The film, based on events leading to Umbrella's T-virus escaping into Raccoon city, does a fantastic job of separating itself from the video game enough so that players aren't bored and non-players aren't lost. Using an entire character list different from the games, I felt myself not knowing what was going to happen next, which was good. I'm glad they incorporated creatures that are terrifying, but not unbeatable for downgraded weaponry and finite ammo. The dogs, the lickers.. damn.. this movie was well done. Milla Jovovich is hot and she knows it... the woman is not afraid to show off that body. Probably why she's a super model. M. Rod is so disgusting that I had to take off half a star for poor casting.

Critique About Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Resident Evil ... Paul W.S. Anderson brings another popular record breaking/Historic video game franchise to the big screen. We follow Alice on her journey to learn the truth about the Umbrella Corporation and the deadly man-made T-Virus outbreak. First to point out that the plot has been completely changed from the game and the characters are not the same. Alice is a strong and smart female played perfectly by Milla Jovovich. It's action packed and thrilling from beginning to end but that alone couldn't save it from poor execution, a poor script and overall cheesy feel.

Not a terrible movie by any means. in fact, there was surprisingly a decent amount of things I liked in this movie. Like Mila Jovovich herself, some of the characters, and I appreciated their focus on tension building and story development between the characters. However... the movie is way too slow at times, has mediocre action sequences at best, absolutely terrible CGI, way too many predictable jumps scares, and was overall not nearly as entertaining or exciting as you would come to expect from a movie with a premise like this.

Resident Evil is a movie about people escaping a giant research center full of zombies. I'll have to admit this was pretty bad. The first thing I didn't like it was the costumes. I mean do these people look like they're in an apocalypse?!? Well, a skirt, mini shirt, and leather boots and jacket don't cut it. 

Second is the storyline. I felt as if this was written by a twelve-year-old. It was just so random. Zombies popping out of nowhere. It's as if they magically spawn. 

Last is the punchlines and suspense. The punchlines are really cheesy. After the hacked the door open I saw an S.W.A.P soldier say "Checkmate!". And the suspense. The music feels a bit more energetic than creepy. I wouldn't even call this horror. The action and blood and gore were cool, but after a while it was tedious. Grade "C+

How do you make a video game adaption work, hire Paul W.S Anderson? No that's not it, what about cast Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez? Well no but it feels more promising, oh I know actually, lets just make an all out crazy movie with little realistic dialogue and some poor acting. See that seemed to do the trick because this movie is a poor one, I didn't find it completely bad but it's still pretty bad anyway. You know I'm the kind of film fan who can truly enjoy movies with a premise like this but when they cast the wrong people behind the camera and on it, you just can't forgive the producers for this one. Resident Evil is based on the popular video game of the same name and definitely, see's the kind of action you might expect from such, not altogether a really un-enjoyable ride, but just a movie that is unlikeable. 

We see Milla Jovovich waking up and not knowing what the hell is going on, we also see James Purefoy with the same old predicament and both seem to need to know what's going on. In steps a whole team of people who have been sent in to investigate a thing called the "Hive" an underground facility that seems to have done some bad things to test subjects and even employees. The film is packed full of insane action, kick ass stunts and zombies (including zombie dogs) and really does pack quite a punch. I didn't feel this film was bad because of the action actually, it is what makes this slightly exciting and at least the movie has a certain horror element to it and can make you kind of jump.

It wasn't the directing that made me cringe, it was the writing which seems to rip this movie apart, the cast can seem almost lifeless at moments with this script and the small talk is well, none existent. The cast does give it their best at certain times but in others, it can feel as if they are trying too hard to make this dramatic and Anderson does nothing to help them. I think the only real redeeming factors in this are that it is not awful and not even maybe fully bad but still just poor, as I said the fighting and all the things like that are the only things that keep this afloat before it sinks into the abyss of movie garbage. 

As for the actors themselves I can't say I liked any of them, Jovovich is not bad but she fails as her role to lead the movie and ends up in moments being second fiddle to more exciting characters. Michelle Rodriguez is probably more exciting than her but even she can not make this any better, coupled with the writing too, I just couldn't forgive this movie and felt disappointed. The story is played out well kind of full blown just go for it which does work in its favour somehow, I didn't want any plot for large parts of this because I was enjoying the fighting, there are way too many obstacles set in this movie but I can say at least you get a few thrills and that's what is important. 

So, all in all, it is Anderson who truly damages the film, not as much with Jovovich or the cast as they are just sucked into the director's work. I think in fact I know for a fact many will enjoy this and think me crazy for saying this is poor, but just look at the film properly and really don't let it take you for a ride without first showing you its poor skills. I do however recommend this to all horror fans and action aficionados as it basically will do what it says on the tin really, scare and thrill.
